Annual Licensing Dates Announced for 2022 in Ireland

The Courts Service of Ireland have announced the annual licensing dates for 2022. Under Irish licensing law all licences run from year to year and must be renewed annually, mostly in September. Certain licences such as ordinary pub on-licences, special restaurant licences and wholesale dealer licences (WDL annually in June) can be renewed directly with the Irish Revenue Commissioners without the need for a Court application. Other licences such as the Restaurant Certificate and Dance Licences in particular are subject to a Court application for renewal in September or October of each year.

In addition for any seven day ordinary on pub licences that were approved for transfer of ownership during the licensing year, an ad-interim transfer, applications must be lodged with the Court for the end of year Certificate of Transfer.
