Writech Group Consolidates its Position Further

Leading fire safety solutions provider Ideal Fire has been acquired by the WTECH Fire Group, part of the Writech Group. With its established reputation for excellence in the industry, Ideal Fire provides complete fire safety solutions for business in Ireland, including planned preventative maintenance on a range of life safety systems such as fire alarm systems, emergency lighting systems, fire extinguishers, automatic opening vents and gas suppression systems. Boasting a varied client base which includes third level institutions and shopping complexes the company has grown in strength from its inception in 2014 by entrepreneur Ray Dooley. The company posted a near 30% increase in its net asset position between 2021 and 2022.

Writech designs, manufactures, installs and services state-of-the-art safety systems, which protect large buildings and complex facilities from fire. It works with some of the largest blue-chip companies in the world across a range of sectors including data centres, life sciences, logistics, retail, office, and food and beverage.

The acquisition of Ideal Fire by the Writech Group marks a significant boost to its overall service offerings and is expected to expand its workforce to over 580 people in Ireland. The move follows other acquisitions creating a palette of synergies within the Group and continues to strengthen its already leading European market position as a safety solutions provider. The move allows WTech in particular to provide an even wider array of cutting-edge solutions to its expanding client base.
